The first week's theme was action/motion and Dawn Goldsmith-Lamming won with her photograph of her daughters jumping into a swimming pool.

The second week was colourful photographs and Dawn won again but donated her prize to second place Joyce Neale. Dawn's butterfly and Joyce's horse are pictured below.

My First Wedding

So I shot my first wedding yesterday. It was exciting, nervewracking and knackering but I did love every second. I also learnt an awful lot and have a wish list of kit I want right now!!
As promised, here's a sneak preview from the hundreds of photos I still have left to process:

Competition Time on Facebook!

So, I've launched a competition on my facebook page.

The basic idea is you post one photo each week that matches the theme and at the end of the posting, everyone goes back and likes their favourites. The person with the most likes at the end of the voting period wins a framed 8x10 photograph of their own. At the end of the 4 weeks the person with the highest number of accumulative likes wins a canvas print of their choice! Sounds easy right? Well get over there and get posting a photo then!!

This week's theme is Action & Motion and the deadline for posting is Sunday 29 Aug - 23.59.

So, hello again!

It's been almost a year since I posted on here. I've been very busy making a baby!! Eloïse was born on 8 May 2010 and motherhood is amazing and tiring and rewarding and emotional but I do love it.
So I had a rubbish pregnancy and I just took a step back from photography for the whole time (I didn't think anyone would appreciate photographs of the toilet!) and it's only the last month or so, since Ellie was born, that I've started picking up the camera and making something of the business again.

Ellie born by emergency c-section at 19:02

Ellie aged 12 weeks

What have I been up to?

The weather here has been awful now for a couple of weeks - rain most days which means any portraits have been postponed in hope of a sunny day soon!

So, to tide myself over I've been working on some more fine art photography.

Let me know what you think!
